Meet Valeria Nour

Founder + CEO

Valeria converted to Islam in 2016 in a small town in south Texas, where she used her professional skills to build programs and events locally for her Muslim community. She has also volunteered and supported other national and statewide Muslim nonprofits and organizations.

Valeria's entrepreneurial journey started with NOUREMPORIUM, an online gift shop for Muslims. This business was born from her desire to create a sense of celebration around Muslim holidays in America. Growing up catholic, Christmas was a big deal, and after converting to Islam, Valeria wanted to feel the same way about Muslim holidays with the help of her gift shop.

Since then, Valeria has moved to Los Angeles, California, and currently works as a project management and business consultant for progressive organizations, nonprofits, and small businesses.

In addition to her consulting work, Valeria is the founder of NOURCONSORTIUM. Through this venture, she aims to empower Muslim women entrepreneurs and create a supportive network that fosters innovation, creativity, and collaboration.

Her reason for doing this work is to give back to the Muslim community and to see it thrive.
